JANUARY 14 – 30, 2022
Every January since 1912, you’ve come to expect 17 fun filled days at the South Florida Fair, where you get to experience educational and interactive exhibits at historic Yesteryear Village, our award winning Agriplex.
The 2022 annual Fair – January 14-30 – will feature “Rockin’ Robots” as the themed exposition: larger-than-life size robots, interactive robotic activities, fun robots, bot battles, and robotics in agriculture, manufacturing, education and science will be showcased throughout the 17 days!.
Children of all ages who visit the Fair can explore the biomechanics of complex animal robots to discover how real animals work, thanks to a touring exhibit, “The Robot Zoo.”
This amazing interactive exhibit allows children to learn the bio-mechanics of complex animal robots.
The 2,500 square foot exhibit reveals the magic of nature as a master engineer. Seven robot animals and more than a dozen hands on activities illustrate fascinating real life characteristics such as how a chameleon changes colors, a giant squid propels itself and a fly walks on the ceiling.
The larger than life animated robots include a chameleon, a rhinoceros, a giant squid with 18-foot tentacles and a platypus. Also featured are a house fly with a 10-foot wingspread, a grasshopper and a bat. It is clear that the Robot Zoo provides fantastic new insights and hands on fun for kids to learn about animals.
The 2022 South Florida Fair is home to Robot Ruckus – the largest combat robot competition in the United States! Competition includes robots from 150 grams to 250 pound heavyweights. Demonstrations all week long, then see the action and meet your favorite Battlebots (as seen on TV) teams at Robot Ruckus on the last weekend of the Fair.
